Collaborative Approach to Children Arrangements

Where there are children involved you and your spouse/partner will remain parents and will benefit from a process that encourages you to maintain contact with one another and communicate effectively with each other. Your children will benefit from seeing you working things out together.

The Collaborative Law process can help you and your partner reach agreement on:

• who your children will live with (residence) - formally "Custody" or "Access"
• the arrangements for contact with the children
• child maintenance
• any other financial provision for the children
• who should be appointed guardians should you both die.
