Home > Collaborative divorce solicitors
Divorce proceedings are the Court proceedings which one of the couples brings to dissolve the marriage by showing that it has "irretrievably broken down". The Collaborative Law approach enables you and your spouse to agree at a face to face meeting who is going to apply to the Court for the marriage to be dissolved ("the Applicant" or "the Petitioner") and who is going to be the "Respondent" to the proceedings. It also enables you to agree the contents of the Divorce Petition, and Statement of Arrangements for children.
You may also use a four-way meeting to agree who is going to meet the cost of getting the divorce and the consent orders you will agree on.
